Matt Newell is a Technical Artist and Software Engineer who has been working primarily in Unreal Engine for the past few years.
He is the sole developer and producer of the video game project "Lushfoil Photography Sim" which was published in 2025 by Annapurna Interactive to all major gaming platforms.
Through his career he has used his knowledge in real-time 3d graphics to produce music videos, live art installations, games and VR applications, and other experimental real-time graphics applications.
He was born in '97, and is currently based between Perth, Australia and Tokyo, Japan.

Lushfoil Photography Sim is now available for $14.99 on Steam, Playstation, and Xbox!
It's the end of a long road, I'm exhausted. but I'm also overwhelmingly excited to finally put the game out there, and to see how it is recieved. extra special thank you to those who have stuck around here for a long time waiting for the release.
Through the last 6 years, development has been long and tiring, but I've tried my best to stay true to the core design philosophies and ideas that (I think) make Lushfoil so enjoyable and relaxing.
This project was created out of the nostalgia and idealization of my first few travel experiences abroad. Even after so many years I still enjoy the game as it is, hopefully you'll feel the same. I can't wait to see the photos you take.
